Colton- Hold on.Lets go back and retrace his life and maybe we can figure out why he died.

Anthony- Okay so his early life was great. He was a famous general, consul and senator.
Allison- He was a patrician wasn’t he?
Jayden- Yes he was and he gave grain to the poor.
Anthony- Well his life sounds great so far why would they be killing him?
Colton- Lets keep moving down the time line.He was a great army general.
Allison- Well he became so powerful that the senate began to worry.They thought he would take over.
Anthony- That might be a reason they were killing him.
Jayden- He also reorganized the army so they were very strong and undefeatable.
Colton- Dang that sounds like an awesome life why are they killing him?
Allison- He became so powerful that he made the senate name him dictator for life in the dictatorship government.
Jayden- A dictator is a person who has absolute control.
Colton- And a dictatorship is a system of government were one person has absolute control.
Anthony- As a dictator Julius Caesar made many changes for Roman life.
Colton- He made a calendar and called it the Julian calendar and he then named month July after himself.
Allison- He gave land and grain to his soldiers.That is no reason to kill him.
Jayden- Well the senate thinks that he was too powerful and were afraid he would take over.
Anthony- They planned to assassinate him.
Colton- One day the senators all ganged up on him and stabbed him 35 times.
Jayden- After he died the plebeians went berserk.Rome broke into a huge civil war.
Allison- A civil war is a conflict between two groups within one country.
Anthony- Julius Caesar was so powerful he even joined forces with Cleopatra the Pharaoh in Egypt.
Colton- Well I guess we figured out why he died.He was to powerful.
